Tour Overview
This tour to Egypt spans twelve days, opening in Cairo before a Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor and closing with four nights in Hurghada. The Cairo Aswan Luxor and Hurghada route pairs Saqqara and Giza with Karnak, Luxor Temple, Kom Ombo and Edfu, then shifts to diving, snorkeling and beach time on the Red Sea. Four nights are spent in Cairo, three aboard a Nile cruise, and four in Hurghada.
Itinerary
This tour to Egypt begins with arrival in Cairo, where a tour manager offers a warm welcome and a seamless transfer to a 5-star hotel. The Cairo Aswan Luxor and Hurghada adventure opens here, with twelve days ahead spent moving between ancient sites and the Red Sea.
Breakfast opens a day at the Great Pyramids, led by the Pyramid of Khufu, the sole surviving Ancient Wonder of the World, alongside Khafre and Menkaure. The Sphinx and Valley Temple follow, with the Djoser Pyramid at Saqqara rounding out the day as the first pyramid ever constructed.
Meals Included
A visit to the Egyptian Museum opens the day, with galleries of golden treasures and royal mummies on display. Lunch at a local restaurant follows, before the afternoon continues at the Hanging Church in Old Coptic Cairo, closing with a walk through Khan el Khalili market.
Meals Included
Arrival in Aswan brings travelers to their Nile cruise, beginning with a visit to the Aswan High Dam. The Unfinished Obelisk follows, still attached to its bedrock, before the Temple of Philae closes the day, with the ship docking overnight in Aswan.
Meals Included
The cruise sails from Aswan toward Luxor, passing Kom Ombo Temple, a double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder, with its small museum of crocodile mummies. The Edfu Temple follows, one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient sites dedicated to Horus.
Breakfast precedes a morning at the Valley of the Kings, burial ground of rulers from the Eighteenth through Twentieth Dynasties, including Tutankhamun. Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple follows, with the Colossi of Memnon standing nearby, guarding the Theban necropolis for over 3,400 years.
Breakfast opens a visit to the Karnak Temple Complex, its Great Hypostyle Hall home to 134 columns built up over 2,000 years. Luxor Temple follows, expanded by Amenhotep III, Tutankhamun, Horemheb and Rameses II. With the cruise portion complete, a transfer to Hurghada closes the day.
Meals Included
Arrival in Hurghada opens a stretch built around the Red Sea, with diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing and deep-sea fishing all available along the coast. The day is left open to explore these activities at each traveler’s own pace.
Meals Included
A further day in Hurghada leaves room for activities not yet tried, from parasailing to a boat trip to nearby islands, alongside further snorkeling or beach time.
Meals Included
The final full day in Hurghada offers one more chance to dive into the Red Sea, explore hidden coves, join a sunset cruise or browse local markets for souvenirs.
Meals Included
A final breakfast at the beachfront hotel precedes departure arrangements, closing out the Hurghada segment of this Cairo Aswan Luxor and Hurghada tour to Egypt.
